Alva is an Irish, Dublin-based contemporary gospel singer. She was born in Sligo and spent her first few years living in Dublin before moving with her family to Hong Kong. There she made her first professional recording at the age of 11 when she recorded two albums to help Chinese children learn English through song. Alva has been singing since the tender age of five in school, church and theatre. Over the years she has enjoyed singing and acting in a variety of musicals, shows and plays.
Her TV appearances include: Morning Television (Hong Kong), Boomerang (Hong Kong), Live at Three, The Late Late Show, Seoige & O'Shea, BBC NI Children In Need, and the Special Olympics Ireland Opening Ceremony. Alva has performed in many major venues: Hong Kong Arts Centre, National Concert Hall, Odyssey Arena Belfast, The Point Theatre, Vicar Street, The Gaiety Theatre and the Pavillion Theatre.
